Cadet Kelly may only have three legs, but don’t tell her that. She has places to be, people to supervise, and absolutely no time for feeling sorry for herself.

Before coming to Front Range Freedom Rescue, Cadet Kelly suffered an injury that ultimately led to the amputation of one of her legs. Today, she’s fully recovered and has adapted beautifully. Like so many tripod cats, she’s figured out her own way of doing things and doesn’t let her missing leg slow her down.

Cadet Kelly can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once you’ve earned her trust, you’ll discover the sweetest little shadow. She loves following her favorite person from room to room, quietly keeping you company and making sure you’re never alone. She’s the kind of cat who forms deep bonds and thrives with someone who will let her settle in at her own pace.

Named after the iconic ship (Belly + Conrad), Bonrad brings all the best parts of that dynamic into one irresistible kitten. He’s got that quiet confidence mixed with a soft, affectionate side that makes everyone feel instantly at ease, like you’ve known him forever.

Bonrad naturally takes on a leadership role among his crew, keeping a close eye on important matters like wrestling matches, toy inspections, unauthorized zoomies, and whether everyone has had their fair share of snacks. He’s convinced he’s in charge. The other kittens haven’t officially agreed, but they mostly let him think so.

But don’t let his “fearless leader” energy fool you. This boy is a complete marshmallow. Once playtime wraps up, Bonrad’s favorite place is curled up in your lap, purring like he just finished a very important board meeting.
